Senior Manager, Account Management & Client Service, Public Equities

 

Job Summary

In the Senior Manager, Account Management & Client Service role, you will be responsible for overseeing and developing a large book of public equities clients. The Senior Manager will play a crucial leadership role in developing and executing a thoughtful and cohesive team-oriented service strategy aimed at delivering best in class client service and account management.  The Senior Manager will provide operational and strategic leadership for a close-knit team of GLG professionals working together in pursuit of maximizing revenue, optimizing client experience, gaining market share and pursuing excellence.  In addition, the Senior Manager will focus on identifying, qualifying and closing new revenue opportunities as well as negotiating contract renewals.

 

 

Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Directly engage and build relationships with key customers at GLG’s existing client firms within the Public Equities business unit
  • Set strategic and operational roadmap for overall book of business and at the account level
  • Find and execute on opportunities within existing book of business to increase user penetration at client firms and adoption of GLG services
  • Develop and negotiate subscriptions for existing clients across the full line of GLG’s services
  • Collaborate with key client stakeholders to understand due-diligence process and to deliver GLG solutions that meet client research and learning needs
  • Directly manage and lead 5-7 Client Solutions professionals
  • Develop, lead and track account strategy/client engagement to achieve account growth objectives
  • Ensure overall client user satisfaction with GLG services and implement adjustments in servicing model when necessary
  • Work creatively and collaboratively with internal colleagues- marketing, compliance, legal, finance, technology to deliver solutions to solve complex overall client business issues

 

 

An ideal candidate will have the following:

  • 6+ years of experience in consultative selling, service delivery or customer success
  • 6+ years of building and managing multi-person teams
  • Proven ability to build and maintain a supportive, high-performing, inclusive, customer-obsessed team culture
  • Intense understanding and experience selling to and/or servicing buy-side public equities clients
  • Proven experience managing performance to quota
  • Clear understanding of and hands on experience with creating and delivering “best in class” client service strategies and operating models
  • Impeccable attention to detail, ideally in a high-volume and fast paced environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proven top performance in prior roles, with growing levels of responsibility
  • Demonstrated appetite for solving complex challenges, learning and growing
